THE CANYON

The canyon is what we call the narrow entryway into the Winslow Studio Artists Gallery.
The canyon consists of four main components.
- The shelf, sign, sculpture install on the east wall.
- The power figure install at the north window.
- Spectre install in the south window.
- Five foot long glass partition wall with transparencies.
THE DOOR HEADERS
The east walls features salvaged antique door headers from the El Garces project Dan was involved in, with small sculptures and words that hold meaning to Dan.
THE POWER FIGURE
At the top of the Canyon to the north, is Dan’s power figure, made up of his old and broken watches, tools, and safety equipment. Power Figures are often found in African art, and are believed to possess the spirit of the items found within it.

Spectre
Silhouetted in the south window, is Spectre, one of Dan’s plywood sculptures.

THE GLASS PARTITION WALL
The items for the glass partition wall have yet to be installed, but will include a variety of transparencies from Dan’s journal.
