Guided Tours of the Museum and/or Hotel
If you are looking for a deeper experience, we offer guided tours that can be tailored to your interests: History, Art, Preservation, Renovation, Gardens, and more! These tours are led by Dan Lutzick, Special Projects manager, who has been with the La Posada project since 1994 and has been an active part of every element of bringing the hotel back to life, and Lori Bentley Law, Affeldt Mion Museum Creative Director.
If you have more than 30 people, we can split the group and have one tour begin in the hotel and one in the museum with two guides, and then switch at the halfway point.
- Tours run between 1 and 2 hours, depending on the interest level.
- These are walking tours, so wear comfortable shoes.
- Tours need to be scheduled a minimum of 48 hours in advance.
- Tours are subject to staff availability.
- Tours not available Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday.
$70 base rate for up to five people.
$10 per additional person above the initial five.
Guests are welcome to make an additional donation to the Winslow Arts Trust to support exhibit development and care of the Big Rug, and #502 Pleasure Dome Rail Car.
Winslow Studio Artist Tours
By special advanced request (and subject to schedule availability), we offer guided tours of the Winslow Studio Artists spaces associated with La Posada Hotel: El Gran (Art) Garage, Snowdrift Art Space, Inland Sea Arts, and The 66 Motor Palace.
