Tina Mion moved into the dilapidated, long-closed La Posada Hotel on April 1st, 1997. To mark the 30th anniversary of that occasion, we present Road to Winslow—a quiet, surreal exhibition of new Tina Mion paintings, with artifacts and memories.

Tina Mion and husband Allan Affeldt left their tiny trailer near the University of California, Irvine and moved into an endangered, historically significant hotel in Winslow, Arizona on April 1, 1997, to begin the grand revival of the once great Harvey House, La Posada. This was a start of an adventure that has lasted nearly thirty years.

In celebration of the upcoming thirtieth anniversary of Tina and Allan moving into the hotel, we will be installing a show including many new Tina Mion paintings in our Winslow Studio Artists Gallery at Affeldt Mion Museum. Tina is also writing an intriguing new book and a film is being made of the creation of the signature painting for this exhibition, Road to Winslow.

Instead of an opening day celebration, Tina will schedule book signings and tours, dates to be determined.
