THE WAITING ROOM GALLERY

The largest room in the depot (originally the passenger waiting room) is dedicated to La Posada and Fred Harvey history, as well as BNSF artifacts. Here, you’ll find Fred Harvey china on loan from the Winslow Harvey Girls, original furniture and artifacts from La Posada Hotel–including the original Mary Colter designed benches from the depot, marketing artwork for various Harvey Houses, and an exhibit featuring the work of Ernest Martinez, who continued the tradition of hand-painted furniture at La Fonda Hotel in Santa Fe.
