Parallax–a 14-foot tall, 1200-pound sculpture created by Albuquerque-based artist Mark Knutson–was installed on the northern exterior of the museum in January 2023 outside of the Winslow Studio Artists Gallery.

This rail inspired work by artist Mark Knutson is the first in the future sculpture garden planned for the lot in front of the museum.

“Similar to the rail lines of a railroad track that fade into the horizon, the sculpture forms a parallax that vertically disappears in the blue skies above.” – Mark Knutson
