Licher Collection of Historic Navajo Weavings
Also opening on September 2nd, the Licher Collection of Historic Navajo Weavings in the adjacent contemporary gallery. Architect Max Licher and his wife Clare have been collecting for more than forty years. As Sedona residents, texture, geology, and biology resonate with them, and those elements are reflected in this spectacular collection. It is fitting that these historic weavings, ranging from the 1910s to the 1930s, are being shown in the gallery for which Max was architect. It is a lovey space, filled with light, and the weavings have a joyful quality I’m sure you will love.
No advance tickets are needed for opening day, but if you’re planning on coming, please confirm by clicking the button below for the Facebook Event Page! If you’re unable to come, please know the Hubbell-Joe Rug is in its permanent home. We hope you will all get to experience these two incredible exhibits.
